This is a massive video wall built in the new Hongqiao Central Business District in Shanghai, China. The 36 screens are being driven by IAdea’s recently announced AnyTile solution – which uses something it calls Distributed Graphics Architecture to push 36 screens with a total of 18K x 4K resolution.
The idea behind AnyTiles is, roughly, that instead of one very powerful computer driving a huge, hi-rez canvas, AnyTiles uses stitches together a set of relatively ordinary media players into one coordinated display canvas.
